By train
Kandersteg can be reached by direct trains from Basel, Zürich and Zürich airport, Brussels, Dortmund and Milan. Trains arrive hourly from both north and south between 6.30 a.m. and 11.30 p.m.
The trains also provide convenient transportation for day trips to Bern, Thun, Interlaken and Zermatt.

By car
To get to Kandersteg by car from the north, take the motorway from either Basel or Zürich toward Bern, take the motorway connecting Bern and Interlaken and branch off near Spiez (the exit is well marked).
From the south drive to Goppenstein and put your car on the train (SFr. 25.-) and when you get off the train you are in Kandersteg.
